Billing questions

Everything about payment, renewal and cancellation in one place.

Do I need an account to use the free plan?

No. Free local filtering works without a SiftVeil account. An account is only needed for Pro features such as preference sync.

How do I cancel?

Cancel from your SiftVeil account to stop the next renewal. If you cannot reach that option, email ThreadConfessions@proton.me from the address on the account and we will action it for you. Full steps.

What happens to my rules if I cancel?

Your account reverts to the free plan at the end of the period you have paid for, and free filtering carries on. Your local filtering preferences stay in your browser — cancelling does not erase them.

Do you offer refunds?

Payments for a period that has already started are generally non-refundable, and we do not run a money-back guarantee. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected — where the law entitles you to a refund, you get one. See the Refunds section of our Terms.

Is there a free trial?

No. There is no trial period, because the free plan is not time-limited — it keeps working for as long as you want to use it. Pro is an upgrade you buy when you want what it adds.

Which currency, and are taxes included?

Prices are in pounds sterling. Any taxes that apply to your purchase are shown at checkout before you pay.

How are payments handled?

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. SiftVeil does not receive or store your full card number — only subscription metadata such as a customer identifier, plan identifier and subscription status.
