Take back your feed

Your feed.
Your rules.

Social platforms decide what gets your attention. SiftVeil gives that control back to you.

Filter topics, creators, clickbait, ragebait and supported AI-labelled content across the feeds you already use.

The problem

Your algorithm isn’t your preference.

Recommendation systems are tuned for engagement — for what holds attention, not for what you would have chosen. Most of the time those two overlap. When they don’t, there is usually no setting for it.

Ragebait

Content engineered to provoke a reaction performs well — which is exactly why it keeps arriving. Doing nothing is not a neutral choice; it just leaves the decision with the ranking system.

Topics you are tired of

A subject you engaged with once can follow you for weeks after you have lost interest. There is rarely a setting for “enough of this now”.

Creators you would rather not see

“Not interested” is a hint that a recommender may or may not act on. A rule you write yourself is a decision that holds.

Features

A feed that answers to you

Six things SiftVeil does, described the way they actually work.

Filter what you don’t want

Choose from categories such as politics, gambling, adult content, violence, ragebait, clickbait, celebrity gossip and spoilers — or add your own topics and specific creators.

Choose what happens

Each rule gets its own action. Allow it through, warn before you see it, blur it, collapse it to a single line, or remove it from the feed entirely.

Works across your feeds

SiftVeil targets YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X. Coverage varies by site, and you can turn filtering on or off per site.

Privacy-first by design

Core filtering runs in your browser. SiftVeil does not send social-media feed content to SiftVeil servers to decide what to filter.

Content Credentials

Beta

Inspect supported media locally for Content Credentials — signed provenance data that can record where a media item came from and how it was edited.

Smart Rules

Pro

Build more precise personal filtering rules for the cases a single category cannot express, and keep them in sync across your signed-in browsers.

How it works

Three steps, then it stays out of the way

SiftVeil works quietly in the background and lets you stay in control.

  1. 1

    Install SiftVeil

Add the extension to your browser. No account is needed to start filtering.

  2. 2

Choose what you want to filter

Pick categories, add your own topics or creators, and set an action for each rule.

  3. 3

    Browse normally

Your rules apply as feeds load. SiftVeil works quietly in the background and lets you stay in control.

Content Credentials

Beta

Proof when proof exists.

SiftVeil can inspect supported media for Content Credentials — an industry standard designed to carry information about a media item’s origin and editing history. Where those credentials are present and valid, SiftVeil can read them on your device and apply the rules you chose.

Where they are not, SiftVeil says so — and nothing more.

Learn about Provenance Beta
  • Verified AI-generatedCredentials assert a generative AI tool was used
  • Verified AI-editedCredentials record an AI-assisted editing step
  • Content Credentials foundValid provenance, no AI assertion recognised

Missing Content Credentials do not mean content is human-made.

Social platforms may remove provenance metadata when media is uploaded or transformed, and most media never carried credentials to begin with. SiftVeil reports what it can verify and stays quiet about what it cannot.

Privacy

Your browsing shouldn’t become our dataset.

SiftVeil needs an account and servers to run subscriptions and sync. It does not need a copy of your feed, and it does not take one.

Local filtering

Feed filtering happens in your browser. SiftVeil does not transmit social-media feed content to SiftVeil servers for classification.

Local provenance stats

Provenance Beta counters stay on your device as local numeric aggregates — how many items were checked, not which items they were.

Account data

Only what is needed to operate your account and Pro entitlements: an email address, authentication identifiers, subscription status and — for Pro — the preferences you choose to sync.

Billing handled by Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. SiftVeil does not need, receive or store your full card number.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

If something here does not match what you are seeing, tell us — we would rather fix the wording than oversell the product.

Is SiftVeil free?
Yes. The Free plan covers local feed filtering, site controls, category filters, your local preferences and Provenance Beta where it is supported, and it keeps working without a subscription. SiftVeil Pro is an optional upgrade at £3.99 per month or £34.99 per year.
Does SiftVeil read everything I browse?
SiftVeil reads visible page content on the sites where you have enabled it, because that is the only way to tell whether a feed item matches your rules. That inspection happens in your browser. SiftVeil is not designed to collect private messages, form contents or draft posts, and its site adapters are built to avoid messaging and composition interfaces.
Does SiftVeil upload my social feeds?
No. Feed filtering runs locally, and SiftVeil does not send social-media feed content to SiftVeil servers for classification. Accounts, subscription state and Pro preference sync do use SiftVeil’s server infrastructure — the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what that involves.
Is SiftVeil an AI detector?
No, and we would not describe it as one. SiftVeil can read Content Credentials when a media item carries them and a platform has not stripped them. That is a verifiable signal when it is present — it is not a detector. SiftVeil does not analyse pixels to guess whether something was AI-generated, and the absence of credentials tells you nothing either way.
What are Content Credentials?
Content Credentials are signed metadata, based on the C2PA industry standard, that can travel with a media file and describe its origin and editing history — including whether generative AI tools were involved. Where credentials are present and valid, SiftVeil can read them locally. More about Provenance Beta.
Why can’t SiftVeil verify every image or video?
Because most media never carried credentials in the first place, and platforms routinely strip metadata when they re-encode an upload. Provenance checking is best effort and fails open: where SiftVeil cannot get a reliable answer, it leaves the item alone rather than guessing.
Which websites are supported?
SiftVeil targets YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X. These platforms change their layouts frequently, so coverage varies by site and by feature, and some things work better on some sites than others. SiftVeil is an independent product and is not affiliated with any of them.
What does Pro include?
SiftVeil Pro includes sync, Smart Rules, advanced controls and access to future Pro features as they become available. Everything in the Free plan stays in the Free plan.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. How to cancel.
Does SiftVeil sell my data?
No. SiftVeil does not sell personal data and does not use your browsing activity for advertising. Information is shared with service providers — such as Stripe for payments — only where that is needed to operate the product.

Your feed. Your rules.

Install SiftVeil, choose what you want less of, and carry on browsing. The free plan keeps working without a subscription.
